How It Happened

Our brand began in 2012 under the banner of Essentially Perfect.  In 2017 we made the decision to rebrand to Natural Basics.  We feel this is more representative of what we believe in and stand for – to create uncomplicated products that you will love.

Growing up on the Bellarine Peninsula and spending weekends on the Surf Coast of Victoria, it was important we incorporate as many local ingredients as we could into our range.  The pristine waters of Bass Straight and sea kelp from Torquay.  With ingredients like this available in our local area the decision was simple.

We are passionate about not only our environment but also the animals we share this amazing planet with.  The plight of the Indonesian orangutan is desperate. Our entire range of products are palm oil free, making your decision to avoid palm oil easier and offering you piece of mind.

On a personal note, my own menagerie at home keeps me grounded and happy.  One of the great honours in life is to be trusted and loved by mother nature’s creatures.
